Description For more than fifty years, the Heart Foundation has been dedicated to making a difference to the heart health of all Australians. We do this through funding vital research, developing guidelines for health professionals, supporting patient care and helping Australians to live healthier lifestyles. With regard to active living and the built environment, we want more Australians to be more active. With regard to nutrition, we want a healthier food supply. In particular we want more Australians eating less saturated fat and less salt.

The organisation takes part in the following specific HBE activities The Heart Foundation is a partner in 2 ARC linkage grants, the Sit stand study @ work, supports the Premier's Council for Active Living, is instrumental in the Healthy Built Environments Program, development of Heart Foundation policies and papers (eg. urban density/ connected streets/ walkability tools and Healthy Spaces and Places).
