About the dashboard

This regional property market dashboard shows the state and evolution of the residential property markets across regional New South Wales and South Australia. The insights shown here have been derivied from the property level sales data from the state goverments. These raw property level datasets were cleaned, geocoded and harmonised to create a consistent and comprehensive dataset for residential sales for these states from 2010 - 2020. This geographic point dataset was analysed and aggergated across multiple levels of administrative boundaries such as Statistical Areas 2, Local Government Areas etc and linked with their corresponding census data from Australian Bureau of Statistics to create a profile of the property market and population.

This dashboard was built as part of project funded by The Australian Property Research and Education Fund by Australian Property Institute through a collaborative effort from City Futures Research Centre, University of New South Wales and University of South Australia. The outputs from the project links to the broader Australian Housing Data Analytics Platform.
