A smart urban research-synthesis-engagement platform for decision making. This project aims to establish the first phase of a nationally networked research collaboration to support smarter urban planning, design and management. The iHUB facility will provide an integrated digital infrastructure platform for built environment research, synthesis and engagement targeting a wide range of city stakeholders and end-users previously constrained by bespoke data analytics and visualisation facilities. The project will also create novel processes for government agencies, practitioners and citizens to engage in more effective decision-making in the planning, design, construction and monitoring of Australia’s rapidly growing metropolitan regions, at scales ranging from cities, towns, and precincts to buildings.
