Bicycling Movement (Capital Cities) City Futures Research Centre

This visualisation illustrates bicycle movement in all Greater Capital Cities in Australia during a typical weekday. Choose the city you want to visualise by clicking on the buttons above. The time slider indicates the time of the day, and it can be paused; zoom in the map to see details on specific regions. The maps are based on approximately 122,000 GPS tracked cycling journeys by around 8,000 cyclists from RiderLog app from May 2010 through May 2014. Composed mostly by cycling trips for transport, two pulses during AM and PM peak times can be observed in all cities.
